The Tramontina 18" Tapanga Machete combines a traditional African blade design with Brazilian manufacturing quality to deliver a powerful and versatile cutting tool for demanding outdoor work. Recognised by its broad, forward-weighted tip, the Tapanga pattern was developed to provide greater chopping force than a standard Latin machete while retaining the reach and versatility needed for everyday agricultural tasks. For generations it has been widely used throughout Central and Southern Africa for clearing bush, harvesting crops and maintaining rural properties.
Manufactured in Brazil, the blade is produced from heat-treated carbon steel for excellent durability, toughness and ease of sharpening in the field. The 18" blade provides an ideal balance of cutting power and manoeuvrability, making it well suited to clearing dense scrub, vines, tall grass and light timber. Full tang construction improves strength and balance, while the riveted hardwood handle offers a secure, comfortable grip with natural vibration absorption during extended use.

Shipping charges are calculated based on the delivery method you choose. Charges are based on the rate we are charged by your chosen carrier. We do not add a handling charge. If you have a change of mind or order the wrong item, you will need to return it to us within 7 days of delivery for an exchange or refund.
