Once cotton gets wet, it stays wet - and therefore becomes heavier and less breathable. Cotton is a highly absorbent fabric and easily retains water, so it takes a long time to dry once wet. Therefore, it is important to waterproof cotton outer garments and equipment. To prevent cotton fabrics from absorbing water, Durable Water Repellency (DWR) can be added by applying Nikwax Cotton Proof.

Breathable - leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual cotton filaments and fabric fibers, allowing moisture vapor (sweat) to pass through, overcoming wetting-out issues
Safe to use - NikWax waterproofing products are water-based, non-aerosol, non-flammable, non-hazardous and environmentally friendly with no harmful solvents, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), or fluorocarbons.
HOW TO USE
Clean your jacket's exterior by rinsing under running water and sponging down surface dirt; for best results always clean outside of jacket using Nikwax Tech Wash (if care label allows)
Protect your working surface and wear gloves
Lay fastened wet jacket on the flat, clean surface
Shake bottle well before use
Spray Nikwax Wax Cotton Proof generously onto the garment's outer surface
Spread evenly with a damp sponge or clean rag, rubbing evenly into fabric
Rub in any drips or runs, and touch up areas that may have been overlooked
Hang up to air dry

If you have a change of mind or order the wrong item, you will need to return it to us within 7 days of delivery for an exchange or refund.
